@nu_metal_archive: ..is an American nu-metal band formed in Santa Barbara, CA. Snot was fomed in 1995 by vocalist James Lynn Strait, who was the bassist for local metal band: First Strike, or Indica; and Mike Doling, whom of which was in another band called Kronix. However, Snot had only one album, Get Some, before the unfortunate death of Lynn Strait, who died in a car crash along with his boxer, Dobbs. Dobbs appears on the cover of Get Some balancing a ball with the Snot logo on his nose, a trick Strait had taught him. Numerous bands had come together to create Strait Up, a Lynn Strait tribute album, including fellow nu-metal bands such a System of a Down, Korn, Slipknot, and even heavy metal artist Ozzy Osbourne, who, unlike the bands, comes to say a few words about Strait. ─────────── #snot #lynnstrait #numetal #metal #dog
