@samalouisaa: Zoey’s 9 month post cancer update She gave us a pretty big scare yesterday when she suddenly started coughing. My mind immediately went to the worst place. I thought her hemangiosarcoma had metastasized to her lungs. I spent the whole day worrying and overthinking everything. Thankfully our vet was able to squeeze her in for a checkup today. He didn’t find anything alarming other than her elevated liver enzymes and he was actually impressed by how healthy Zoey looks. He even told us that Zoey is his longest living patient with HSA. Damn, I’m so proud of this girl. At 14 years old and 9 months into this cancer journey, she continues to amaze me! We still don’t know exactly what caused the coughing, but she’s barely coughing today, so I’m hoping it was just something temporary and she’s back to feeling like herself again🤞 #cancer #dogsofinstagram #dog
