PART 2: Bulus Takes Over 😅 So… Part 2 of Bulus taking over the dogs’ routine, and let’s just say things did NOT go as planned. 😂 Sadly, the dogs still weren’t really listening to him, and honestly, I could tell Bulus was also a little nervous around them. And that’s completely understandable. But this is exactly why I wanted to do this in the first place. A dog being obedient to YOU doesn’t automatically mean they’ll obey everybody else. Obedience has to be generalized. They need to understand that the same rules, boundaries and commands apply even when I’m not the one giving them. And that doesn’t happen in one day. I’m not giving up on Bulus at all. In fact, this is where the real work begins. We’re going to keep doing this consistently until the dogs understand that Bulus is also someone they are expected to respect and respond to not just Dad. The goal isn’t to intimidate them or force them into submission. It’s about building trust, confidence, consistency and clear communication between the handler and the dogs. One of the biggest mistakes people make with obedience training is thinking, “My dog listens to me, so he’s trained.” Nope. A properly trained dog should be able to respond to the same cues from different people, in different environments and even when distractions are present. So this is not a failure. It’s actually part of the training process. Bulus has officially entered the dog training curriculum. 😂 Consistency is key.
