@the.baby.whisperer: Hairband? Yes or no? 🎀👶 ⠀ It is very cute. There is just one thing to know before leaving it on all day. ✨ ⠀ A baby's skull is soft. It is designed that way, still shaping itself through the first months. ⠀ That is exactly why a hairband kept in place tends to create a compression, and over time, a compression on a soft skull can create a deformation. ⠀ Sustained constraint shapes soft structures. It is the same principle that governs the whole skull in the early months. ⠀ So yes for the photos, yes for the special moments. Just take it off in between, and let the skull shape itself freely. 👌 ⠀ If you have any doubt about your baby's head shape, a gentle osteopathic check will tell you quickly. ⠀ Does your little one wear a hairband? Tell me in the comments 👇 ⠀ @myoneosteo ⠀ #osteopathymalaysia #baby #pediatrics #kids #development

It's not going to matter because these kids will have dents in their heads from headphones and terrible posture and hunch backs from looking down at their phones

My daughter wore a headband almost non-stop every day for nearly a year, starting from when she was 11 weeks old. She was in the hospital and had a feeding tube that wouldn't stay in place otherwise, as well as an IV in her head. Without the headband, she could reach it too easily and would pull it out. There is absolutely nothing wrong with her head, and I can only highly recommend it as a helpful tool for these kinds of situations

That’s why a mom’s instinct is always the best. I’ve always felt the same way, but I think the older generation needs to understand and be educated about this too. Just my POV
