while roommate was rude about it, He's not being abusive at all, He's setting boundaries, because at the end of the day, it really isn't Their business, Roommate may just not feel ready to tell them who it is, since at the end of the day they are just roommates, If they were Best friends or even closer than that, then yeah maybe it's fair to assume it's toxic of them to hide who they're talking to, But again that is their business, could they have gone nicer about it? yes. but he's not being toxic at all, He's not using tactics like "Stop worrying so much" or anything, they just simply told them to mind their own business.
