seeing sheldon so ashamed of his lifelong collection hurts my heart. young sheldon would be very proud of his future self's commitment to keeping everything neat, clean, and tidy, even if it seems unnecessary. he would see this as the healthiest compartmentalization of archival nostalgia there is. he would acknowledge its not typical or even a high achievement, but the personal satisfaction of accepting his history and caring for it is more than enough.

My autistic grandpa was a hoarder and it was the most neatly organized hoard EVER. One of my favorite things was the entire box of empty, folded, sugar packets. Every single one he’d ever consumed.

I dont have a storage unit, but I do have a cabinet that I keep all my stuff in to keep out of people's way. I remember my mom wanted to clean and organize it, and I kind of had a fit cause I did not give permission to touch my stuff. I know where everything is in it. and even put the frosted plastic oflver the glass so peiple dont need to look I to it.

I also hold items that I’d rather not see end up in the landfill. I stopped buying single use items. One razor (Leaf razor- also the best razor in existence ever because it flexes like a disposable and you just replace the stainless blades and they are not even a pennies cost). A bamboo toothbrush with completely biodegradable bristles (not recyclable because you cant recycle tiny plastic shards that’s not a real solution) I bring my own straws and bags, I even try to bring my own Tupperware rather than using to-gos for left overs . Very simple solutions that save millions of animals and environment struggles. I use any water bottles I must use as watering bottles (poke a few holes in the cap)
