I have the marina coil. It’s been in a year. Stopped my bleeding however I am extremely bloated and have put on over a stone. In two minds of having it removed 🤷♀️

I'm 38, just been diagnosed with poi and they started my on hrt, I'm so much worse being on it than off. I'm so swollen head to toe, constantly bleeding 😭 fed up

I've had a coil for along time due to fybroids, they said I can leave it in until I've gone through menopause.

I've had mine for 20 years it's helped I think we're just all different I also prefer it to the progesterone tabs although they have been working I'm ready to have my last one changed trial and error for everyone it wasn't about the bleeding tho your point is valid

I’m supposedly post menopause. Had a new coil inserted in March. Bleeding stopped for a while but I’ve been bleeding for nearly three weeks now. I’ve told to book in for a cervical smear now.

I had the coil for less than two weeks in my 50s, it was horrendous. They need to emphasise that is dosent suit everybody

I was offered the coil too when I asked about HRT , I categorically said NO , because I didn’t want anything inside me that I couldn’t control … I have now been on HRT for year , still having the odd spotting , but feeling a lot better , calorie controlled diet, eating healthier , managing stress better and finally sleeping better , exercising more too 🎁

they wanted to put on in me. except I have a fibroid that 8.5cms in my uterus. I declined.

I had the copper coil in for 6 months…. Bled heavily for 3 months and ended up having 2 blood transfusions.. this was age 40. I have the Mirena coil now. I also have type 2 diabetes from 2 pregnancies with severe gestational diabetes. I’m taking oestrogen gel.. no other treatment given

I didn't bleed for 5 years. they've been messing with my meds for her and now I've been bleeding for 3 months. they want me to go on the coil but I don't want to. can't get an answer other than ho on the coil
