I feel like she has such a soft heart beneath all that coldness. She cares deeply, maybe even more than she should, and somewhere along the way she learned that being soft could get her hurt. So she built walls around the part of herself that cared the most. Maybe that’s why the pain doesn’t show anymore, she’s just learned to live with it.

one thing that gets me is the fact that in og re4 when she approached the polieceman burning on a stake she just dropped a lighthearted comment abt it while in the remake she says "i thought i left that life behind" which shows that capcom must have some foundations for more developed backstory for her theyre just not showing any of that to us
