You are right but these people came to limelight through their sweat without social media, u know when pasuma don dey sing, I remember pasuma Despirado early 2000, likewise Osupa. hip artiste nowadays can start music and blow within 3 yrs. Those big 4 really suffer for that music work, what they're enjoying today is their sweat.

there is a Yoruba saying that says "ise aiye ni fuji" english (fuji music is spiritual and traditional). to this i can say fuji music is one of the hardest musical genres if not the hardest and their earning is different I mean not as huge as the afrobeat/pop earning. And then the endorsement, I think afrobeat/pop has more endorsement than Fuji's. and as for the 4 fuji iconic musicians you mentioned they've really really worked harder than what they earned today, they sang a lot of songs and they fought a lot for their sitting place today. most of us including the afrobeat industry grew up listen to their good music and we really enjoyed the genre, they thrive but not faster and globally as the afrobeat industry to end this afrobeat/pop is globally while Fuji music still struggling to be. And if the afrobeat industry can do anything to support the Fuji music industry it will be better.
