My company has 120 welders. By Dec. of 27, 42 of us will be retired. They are not replacing us they are going to robotics and laser. They say there is no one to match our skills,G3. Robotics gets rid of that skill requirement. A robot doesn't need insurance, the company unemployment or workers compensation. One person serves 3 machines you triple your output at half the cost. Sad fact.

Not realistic at all. I’m a Finish Carpenter 57 years old and I just got done training a young gentleman to be finished Harper. He turned it out and his damn good and only 21.

in Ohio we are having a boom in work. lots of young people coming out trying to be operators .

In diesel mechanics thats valid, thiers really not alot of guys over 55 left doing it and most of us doing it now range from 25-40s
