I rub it on myself before I go litter picking!!! It keeps the mosquitos away. Absolutely fantastic plant, and it’s a huge source of nutrients for many animals!!! I love natives so much ☺️

I work in a swamp in Florida. I don't use bug spray. I rub the leaves on my skin and cloths and mosquitoes leave you alone for about a hour and then you repeat of needed

I think you have to cook them for them to taste good. Eating them raw can upset your stomach. Crush the leaves and rub them on your skin and clothes to repel mosquitoes. Highly beneficial native plant.
