one extremely important fact about switch 2 getting ports of these games is that it also positively impacts the game on other platforms, since devs have to optimise games more on the switch 2, those same optimisations can improve performance on other platforms

The switch 2 is drawing 20x less power than a ps5 and is able to run aaa games at completely playable levels and people are crying that it isn't playing everything at 60fps. Its running around 10w in portable mode and getting graphically demanding games like star wars outlaws and Indiana jones to run good AT ALL is a miracle. That 10w is total system power so the actual power draw from the cpu itself is closer to 7-8w. An 8w system running star wars outlaws and Indiana jones which are demanding games with forced raytracing, running on an 8w device is nothing but a miracle. To get similar performance on other handhelds, youd probably have to crank the power up at draw a minimum of 25-30w to get similar performance. any

Im getting it later today! I was a bit worried about the 30 fps to be honest, so i did some messing around and locked my PC version to 30 and tried a couple dungeons with it and kept forgetting that it was even locked. 30 fps genuinely is more then enough for Elden Ring.

I will continue to say this the switch 2 is the best budget friendly console out there to date after all these prices increase nintendo litteraly only went to 500 bucks with all these games coming AND FF14 NOW FOR FREEEE this consol will become the budget friendly master console I see it now this consol is starting to show its true colors with all these games coming out its gonna be hands down the best

All I'm hearing is that x86 should be dropped for ARM based consoles for the next gen home consoles, same way Apple did the M1 macbooks with Rosetta
