My best advice for any new sailor that comes in single: DO NOT get married or have kids during your first enlistment. Also, don’t be out getting drunk all the time. That is just a recipe for disaster. You can have fun & all that but just don’t be stupid. And if you think if you’re under 21 you can’t drink, that’s not true especially if you go underway & go to foreign ports. Just be safe & enjoy all the stuff you’re gonna do and see!
