The rough stone appeared almost black on the outside, but under a torch, a dark blue colour could already be seen inside. The stone was carefully handed over to Babu, who carried out the traditional blowpipe heating process. After heating, the hot covering was carefully removed from the burner and placed on lime to cool slowly. Once cooled, the cement-like coating around the stone was carefully removed.
