She totally lost me when she mentioned the science museum because what??? Depression isn’t an outfit we try on. It literally lives with us and we’re forced to get up and smile. The closest people in my life can’t tell I’m down when I’m in the trenches. Truly, it takes my husband a couple of days to recognize when I’m struggling. How are strangers supposed to know???

I'm been fighting depression since I was 12. I've learned to mask over the years 🙄 (I'm 37) I go to work (retail) and smile through 8+ hours. I go home, clean, cook, take care of my family. Doesn't stop how I feel inside. Masking may be exhausting, but it's very easy to learn how to do it. Especially when you're in a society/medical system that's very against actually helping. 🤷♀️

I don’t think she looks normal in the recording at the museum. She looks alone. There is no interaction with her husband. Not even when he moves the baby carrier behind her. When he comes with Dawson, closer to her and where Cora is playing, they don’t even look at each other. This is not normal. And she is very alone.

I lost it when she gathered all these mental illnesses and said it boils down to she was depressed... I was like so not only did you just minimize the turmoil she was going through and the health crisis she was going through. you just minimized at least three different forms of mental illness as well.

I watched while I was at work and I paused the stream and walked away and raged at my coworkers about it. I had a different coworker commit in 2018. we went to a work training that morning that she rode with me for. I yelled "DO YOU THINK I COULD TELL BROOKE WAS GOING TO GO HOME AND DO THAT THAT NIGHT?! NO! YOU CAN'T FUCKING SEE DEPRESSION!"

Someone implying someone isn’t depressed based off how they appear is the same as saying they can’t be autistic because they don’t look autistic. It’s called MASKING. It’s not always obvious. NOBODY knew I was depressed when I tried to take my life, not even my Mother. Because that’s how well I hid it. NOBODY knew I was Autistic either 🤪
