well I'm sorry that's how you feel I never Shane I'm like you know what thank you professor cuz I would have forgot thank you I ain't mad at it I could accommodations my whole life cuz I need it I'm never ashamed of what I need I am very proud of the things I can use to help further my education every little bit helps I'm sorry people going to hate and they're going to hate for good reasons I don't care I say that so loud even all through elementary School middle school high school I mean it known that I got to come additions I even got to leave class 5 minutes before everybody else did I get special paperwork I got to use people's notes I got extra time on test I earned that and I'm proud of it I walk in every room every classroom and I straight up and say hey look at me I could accommodations suck it up buttercup suck it up

Once my professor said OK everybody the test is on Tuesday and then he turned to the girl next to me and he goes except for you. You get more time. Is that right because of your accommodation? I was appalled for her

As someone with accommodations, while this sucks, it is somewhat the norm and does follow standard procedures for college accommodations. He was just trying to do his job, and many of them don’t realize that it can hurt still. The knowledge of present accommodations isn’t covered under FERPA if you are in an accredited program (you typically are informed of this when you are granted the accommodations) but it sucks when they do it in front of the entire class. Esp with full name, that’s wild, I don’t even go by my full first name lol

I had them IEP in college and they give extra time on testing, and allowed me to a calculator in math class and for testing I could had accommodations for a quite room . I will say the staff and special need class teachers at dccc . are amazing people. that do amazing jobs . I have autism and inattentiveADHD sever sensory problems. because of them I got my associate in applied science welding technology degree.
