Following reports that Ferrari will honour Michael Schumacher at Monza with a special livery inspired by the 1996 F310, this concept imagines how the first chapter of the Schumacher-Ferrari story could be translated onto the 2026 SF26, thirty years after his first victory in red. The design does not attempt to reproduce the F310 panel for panel. Instead, it rebuilds the modern Ferrari around the elements that defined the 1996 car: a brighter scarlet body, heavy black lower surfaces, clean white wing panels and gold wheels. The current sponsor set remains intact, allowing the car to feel contemporary while its colour hierarchy belongs unmistakably to 1996. At the front, the white outer wing sections frame the red nose against an exposed-carbon centre. At the rear, the same contrast is amplified across a white main plane carrying an oversized black Ferrari wordmark. These two surfaces act as visual bookends, while the black floor and sidepod undercut form one continuous base beneath the red bodywork. The gold wheels provide the clearest period reference. Against the almost uninterrupted scarlet upper body, they immediately separate this from a conventional modern Ferrari and give the side profile the character of the F310 without forcing its original graphics onto an entirely different chassis. Schumacher’s victory in the torrential 1996 Spanish Grand Prix was not merely his first for Ferrari. He won by 45 seconds in a car that was neither the fastest nor the most reliable of the season, offering the first real glimpse of what that partnership could become. Later that year, he won again at Monza. That is what this livery is intended to recall: not the Schumacher era at its peak, but the season when it first became possible.
