@mariospad: Super Mario Bros. Deluxe: Challenge Mode: 1-1 Super Mario Bros. Deluxe is a platform game developed by Nintendo R&D2 and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Color. Released in 1999, it is an enhanced version of the original Super Mario Bros. for the NES, bringing the classic adventure to a handheld while adding new modes and features. The main game faithfully recreates the original 32 levels of Super Mario Bros., including its enemies, power-ups, secrets, and castles. The game also features an unlockable version of Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, giving players an additional and more challenging adventure. One of the biggest additions is Challenge Mode, which gives players new objectives within the original levels. Players can search for three Red Coins, find hidden Yoshi Eggs, and earn high scores by collecting coins and defeating enemies. These challenges encourage players to replay familiar stages and explore them more thoroughly. Another notable feature is You vs. Boo, a competitive mode where players race against a Boo to reach the end of a level first. Using the Game Boy Color link cable, two players can compete while collecting coins and defeating enemies along the way. The game also includes save functionality, a world map, character animations, and colorful Game Boy Color graphics while retaining the recognizable style of the NES original. Super Mario Bros. Deluxe was praised for combining the classic Mario experience with meaningful new content. Its Challenge Mode and You vs. Boo feature give the game additional replay value, making it one of the most distinctive handheld versions of the original Super Mario Bros.
