the exact rabbit hole i fell down when i first discovered fandom around 15 or 16. "anti problematic shipping" seems so normal at first but the way the adults in these spaces just relish in the attention and pedestal they've been put on by a bunch of teens is so disgusting. after leaving those communities i have still never been subjected to the disgusting things that were brought to my attention through "callout posts" and their weird crusades. nobody online exposes children to more harm than these people, every "proshipper" i've ever talked to is ADAMANT about the mdni and just straight up do not engage with kids online ESPECIALLY WHEN THE CONVO IS CENTERED AROUND SOMETHING THEY SHOULDN'T BE EXPOSED TO.
