This honestly tore me up a little. I have 3 onboarding classes to provision, SOC2 evidence due, an access transition report due Monday, and we just discovered a security incident. I'm probably going to have to do another 10 hours tomorrow. I am hourly though. Mark if you're seeing this I could honestly use some advice. My boss was laid off last month and I've been asked to step into a Lead role with a 3% bump remaining hourly until the end of the year, future promise of a manager title next year. I'm probably going to be doing 50-60 hr weeks for the foreseeable future. Is it worth it to get my first manager title on my resume?

100% on-point. “We’re a Family here” is the biggest psychological trick in the ocean of plastic that is the corporate world. All those Tech layoffs? Those companies could have EASILY kept their people and still made 5-10 BILLION Dollars, but with the layoffs, they can make 8-13 BILLION, so “leadership” decides to throw the family overboard. This country and world is in severe need of a Paradigm Shift.
