@janessa.gunderson: This is the part of having a voice that nobody talks about. I’ve spent the last few weeks talking about the #LindsayClancy case. Reading records. Watching testimony. Comparing statements. Taking endless notes. Asking questions. Correcting misinformation. And speaking publicly about what I believe the evidence actually shows. You are absolutely allowed to disagree with me. This is not disagreement. This is a complete stranger finding my personal account to tell me “f you” and call me a “vile f’ing piece of 💩” because he doesn’t like what I have to say. And there is a pattern I’ve noticed. It’s name calling. It’s intimidation. It’s personal attacks. And there’s no doubt, the most aggressive messages I receive come from men who apparently believe that if they make a woman uncomfortable enough, eventually she’ll shut up. I won’t. 🤸🏻‍♀️ You don’t have to agree with me. Challenge my facts. Challenge my interpretation. But bring receipts and have the conversation. BUT - if your response to a woman having an opinion is to hunt down her account and verbally abuse her, you haven’t disproven a single thing she said.
