My neighbors dog hops the fence and comes to visit sometimes. When it’s nice out I’ll leave the door open while I work and he comes inside to inspect the premises and get pets then goes home when his mom realizes he did it again. I’ve told her he’s always welcome he’s adorable

Had a very intelligent well-behaved lab/shepherd mix growing up. She LOVED our next door neighbors and their dog like they were her own family. After she passed, our neighbor sheepishly admitted that sometimes when she took their golden on a walk, Daisy would just wander out and follow them. She always behaved, stayed nearby, and followed all instructions so the neighbor just kept it as their little secret. Daisy did have a mostly fenced yard except for one gap that was covered by an invisible fence but she learned quick that the buzzing stopped eventually even if she didn’t go back 😔
