@momma.cooking: Recipe Name Garlic Parmesan Roasted Cabbage Steaks Ingredients 1. Green Cabbage – 1 large head 2. Olive Oil – 4 tbsp 3. Butter – 2 tbsp, melted 4. Garlic – 4 cloves, minced 5. Parmesan Cheese – 1/2 cup, finely grated 6. Italian Seasoning – 2 tsp 7. Garlic Powder – 1 tsp 8. Onion Powder – 1 tsp 9. Smoked Paprika – 1 tsp 10. Salt – 1 1/2 tsp 11. Black Pepper – 1 tsp 12. Red Pepper Flakes – 1/4 tsp 13. Fresh Parsley – 2 tbsp, chopped Recipe 1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. Remove any damaged outer cabbage leaves and trim the stem end while keeping the cabbage intact. 3. Slice the cabbage crosswise into thick steaks about 1-inch thick, keeping the layers together so each steak holds its shape. 4. Arrange the cabbage steaks in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each piece. 5. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. 6. Brush the seasoned garlic mixture generously over the top of each cabbage steak, making sure the oil reaches between some of the layers. 7. Sprinkle half of the Parmesan cheese evenly over the cabbage, pressing it lightly onto the surface so it adheres. 8. Roast the cabbage for 20–25 minutes until the edges become deeply browned and the centers begin to soften. 9. Carefully flip each cabbage steak using a wide spatula and brush the exposed side with any remaining garlic mixture. 10. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese over the flipped cabbage steaks and return them to the oven. 11. Roast for another 15–20 minutes until the cabbage is tender throughout, caramelized around the edges, and golden on top. 12. For extra browning, switch the oven to broil for 1–2 minutes, watching carefully so the Parmesan does not burn. 13. Remove the cabbage steaks from the oven and let them rest for 3–5 minutes so the layers settle and the cheese firms slightly. 14. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and an additional light sprinkle of black pepper before serving. 15. Serve hot as a hearty vegetable side dish with roasted chicken, steak, grilled fish, or crusty bread. Follow for more delicious roasted vegetable recipes and easy homemade side dishes!
