@lisa.vollrath: I've removed my post about the passing of Yayoi Kusama. I was unaware she held views and said things about race that were harmful. We don't honor racists.

She was severely mentally ill. She hallucinations and obsessive-compulsive behaviors. Yayoi Kusama lived voluntarily in a Tokyo psychiatric hospital for decades. This isn’t so much as an excuse for her thoughts on people of color but her type of illness can skew your prospective of the world. I have a niece with autism. She 40 years old and lives in a care home. She’s a trump supporter. She’s never heard him talk and does’t even know that much about him. She’ll go on tangents about what she thinks he’ll do for our country. We decided as a family to not talk to her about these things and just let her be. She’s had a pretty hard life.
