She is a nurse- anyone in healthcare (maybe with exception to Dr Tuffs) knows documentation is EVERYTHING. Type-A personalities thrive in this field because details MATTER. OF COURSE she tracks ALL of it because she's RESPONSIBLE and a respected nurse probably for this reason. She may not have been over medicated but she clearly was having adverse reactions to normal dosing so to her- they were all over medicating to her because she wasn't being treated for the correct diagnosis- bipolar type 2 most likely triggered by post partum! and I think Patrick knew he didn't have to overdose her on any of it because all of it was adding to her deterioration and her grasp on reality.. too many things that were so under investigated and heartbreaking that mental health symptoms all have to fit in a one-size-fits-all box. We should be so much farther along in our knowledge and understanding of these illnesses than we are.

I think she kept track of her meds & her feelings in her diary (not because she’s a control freak) but because her side affects were more than the pills could cause & Patrick was secretly drugging her & she was trying to make sense of it

Correct because if she was in psychosis and not taking her meds then it would actually support the defense… so I assume that’s the point they were ‘trying’ to make. The prosecution is literally horrible.
