@aplussocials: The personal brand route works. It's just the slowest approach when it comes to UGC. It took me two and a half years of trial and error before my personal branding strategy clicked. Two and a half years of throwing spaghetti at a wall and watching all of it slide off. If you feel like you're crawling right now, this is usually why. You picked the slow door and nobody told you it was the slow one. BUT THERE ARE OTHER WAYS to start. Yes, build that personal brand, because it opens doors you would never see otherwise but ALSO pick another approach and pair it with personal branding because it is the long game and can be pretty discouraging unless you've made content before.
