Maybe it’s devotion and deep abiding love or it’s delusional and foolish. I just don’t know. My h betrayed me twice. He was utterly despicable, while on the outside always appearing to be the nicest, kindest man ever. I forgave him and stayed against my better judgement, not completely understanding why. Now suddenly he has cancer, stage 3, possibly 4. Now he needs me and loves me. But if or when he beats the cancer and he still wants to end our marriage, I will be okay with it for sure. My scars will never heal.
