Hey Brother. Man, I remember being exactly where you are now. Thinking "how can it get better..." people keep telling me that it'll get better... how? I promise you, it does. I would love to lie to you and tell you that you will wake up tomorrow and you'll magically feel better.... but that is not the case. It is a slow, painful process. You will learn to live, function and you will slowly move through it. I had the exact same thoughts as you (seeing her everywhere in the house through memories). Just grieve like you are now. I am not a person that cries aor gets emotional. However, I was crying multiple times per day. I remember just being exhausted from crying. The best thing I can tell you is to block out all of the noise. Move at your own pace to get through this. Don't let people tell you how to grieve. Set daily goals of things to get done. Don't over do yourself. I mean I just finally emptied out her closet this last month (2 years later). Keep drawing close to God and he will hold your hand through it.

Hey Brett I am glad you got up this morning and didn’t stay in bed. Every one is different in mending their heart. You need to get out and go somewhere. Go for walks in a beautiful forest. Go hiking or fishing. I know if I planned a small routine it helped a little. Yes Hospice is so wonderful. When you get through the paperwork part and everything settled you can have your mind elsewhere a little more. It’s going to take time. It will get more tolerable and the heart will adapt. You will always have a special place for the woman you love and loved.❤️

If I may suggest write your beautiful wife a letter or talk to her. Tell her how much you love her and thank her for showing you so much love and being a part of your life. I think it is wise to accept Hospice assistance. They understand and it will help you. I appreciate you sharing your grief. We all will experience a devastating loss of a loved one. ❤️
