@amycatherinebarackman: Sometimes one person has all your attention. Not because they are the whole story. But because they are where the current is most concentrated. The chemistry. The uncertainty. The attachment. The unfinished questions. The body waking up. And suddenly it feels like: this is about them. But underneath that may be a larger process: What does my system do when Life becomes intensely alive and I cannot yet know what it means? One strategy says: Move toward the person. Get clarity. Secure the bond. Make the aliveness take a form. Another says: Move away. Shut it down. Reduce the charge. Get yourself back. But there is a third position. Let the aliveness be bigger than its object. This person may awaken it. Participate in it. Amplify it. Matter enormously inside it. But they do not own it. The current is also mine. So I do not have to chase them to keep it alive. And I do not have to flee them to survive it. I can stay inside the vitality itself. Curious. Embodied. Unfinished. And when we meet, I am not asking: What do you mean for the rest of my life? I am asking: Who are you now? Who am I now? And what actually happens when these two living systems meet?
