![Where are you leaf peeping this year?? 🍂🍁 The Northeast gets a lot of (well-deserved) fall hype but there are actually plenty of places to enjoy fall colors that are likely a lot less crowded. So where are some of my favorites? [Save this for fall leaf 🍂 peeping planning and send it to whoever you want to see fall colors with.] 1. Washington - I will forever and always think golden larches are some of the most beautiful fall colors. They look like yellow Christmas trees and they contrast so nicely against the rest of the PNW landscape. Great places to find larches include the North Cascades and area around @visitleavenworthwa 2. Arkansas - I was BLOWN AWAY by the beauty when I spent time in @arkansas last year. For fall colors, you won’t want to miss the Ozark National Forest and Buffalo National River that aren’t far from @visitbentonville . 3. Oregon - If you want to enjoy colorful leaves but also the comforts of the city, Portland is a great place to see the leaves change. In this video I’m riding my bike in Laurelhurst Park in Southeast Portland. But only slightly farther from the city you can enjoy stunning colors along the Columbia River Gorge and in Silver Falls State Park. 4. West Virginia - Maybe the most surprising to me was on my trip to @wvtourism last year with @krismariawanders . The fall colors were the most vibrant that I had ever seen in several different parts of the state. The opening clip is from West Virginia as well and I promise the colors looked even BETTER in real life. So where are you headed this year for fall colors?
