Still paying? 😳😳😳 Absolutely TF NOT! With it being on the local news I’d say this would be enough documentation for that local courthouse/code enforcement to open up several cases. Rent would be held up in escrow until this issue was resolved.

You’re better off going to get an apartment that is not marketed as a student apartment. The student apartments are all scams and poorly maintained

This happened to a kid at OU. Called me in a panic he was 3 days away from his lease at the frat house being up, and the new apartment he signed for was HORRIBLE. He was able to get out of the lease because I got him out of it. I had a duplex he could rent for 6 months until his graduation. I think doing this to renters should be illegal.
