TAKE YOUR LIFE SERIOUSLY. I have come to see life differently as I have grown older. Nobody is coming to negotiate with reality on my behalf. Whatever I want from life, I have to build the capacity to earn it. Intelligence alone does not move my life forward. Plans do not change circumstances until they become action. Potential remains invisible until I turn it into evidence. So I have learned to put the ego aside and do the ordinary things that compound quietly. Work hard. Learn. Save. Plan. Build. I have also learned that I cannot spend everything on the person I am today and expect my future self to somehow survive on leftovers. That is why I believe in delayed gratification. Sometimes I choose the book over the distraction, the work over comfort, the investment over the impulse. Not because I hate pleasure, but because I understand that tomorrow is being financed by what I do with today. My future self will inherit my habits, my decisions, my savings, my skills, my discipline, and the things I chose to build when nobody was watching. So I try to live with tomorrow in mind. I want to leave the person I become something to work with.
