Red dots have traumatized me now. It's because my favorite person and I stopped talking. Every time I see that red notification, my heart races for a second...hoping it's them. But it never is. And every time someone else messages me, I feel this wave of anxiety instead of excitement. Those little red dots used to mean connection, but now they just remind me of what I lost.
