One time I got on a bus in Tokyo and I was just sitting there normally and there is this bigger lady on the other side sitting down and she had an extra seat next to her. I didn’t think anything of it, but she was very big. it’s not that big of a deal, but it is kind of rare to see a Japanese person that size but there’s nothing wrong with that anyways I didn’t think anything of it and then this family gets on the bus and they walked towards her seat cause there’s only one open seat and it’s a dad a girl in the son and the dad is like go sit next to the lady and the daughter starts whining out loud telling the dad that this woman is so fat I don’t wanna sit next to her. She’s massive and then she starts doing gestures and the dad didn’t really do anything about it and the girl just kept talking about how fat the lady was and the lady heard the whole entire thing she just pretended to not listen, but it was just really awkward and I never can forget that and I think about that sometimes.
