@gma: It’s day two of deliberations in the Lindsay Clancy trial. The jury, made up of nine women and three men, must unanimously agree on a verdict. Read more at the link in bio.
I cannot stand Reddington’s lies. She absolutely did not take the meds as prescribed - there were multiple bottles that had only a couple or none of the pills taken and, worse still, she told providers she was taking them when she wasn’t. How are the providers remotely responsible when she was not forthcoming with them, did not follow treatment plans, refused numerous programs and even hospitalization offers (both the hotline and the postpartum program offered that, it’s in the records, unlike the history Reddington tried to rewrite). No healthcare provider can help a patient not accepting help and medical recommendations given. Reddington’s blame the health system defense is emotionally appealing but that doesn’t make it true.

Her husband did it!! He was the one in full control. The prosecution was lazy and went for the low hanging fruit because they love to blame the mom. Disgusting!!

Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. In order to prove someone not guilty by reason of insanity, they need to prove they committed the crime. If they can't prove she committed the crime (burden of proof) then they didn’t meet their burden and the trial ends. They cannot prove someone did something out of insanity if they can't prove they did it at all. First they prove the crime was done by the defendant, then they prove why. Reddington didn’t waive the prosecution of that burden. The judge explained this to the jury as well.
