I went to speech therapy in 3rd grade what really clicked was seeing my therapist tongue when she pronounced the “R” sound. Also had a girl in the class who was blind and autistic and she helped her with the “TH” sound by putting on some gloves and guiding her tongue where to put it. Really neat what you guys do!

how do you fix a SH when their meaning CH? My nephew can’t say chips, cheese, or anything with that ch. He says it with a sh and i have no idea how to correct it

I had a student that said it like “ghoul” and eventually she got it. We practiced a bunch and it finally just clicked and she ever said it the old way again. Keep at it!!

I was in speech in the third grade for this issue and this word (although it applied elsewhere too). Anyways, my speech therapist told me to pull my tongue back and it worked. I still get tripped up sometimes though to this day

My brother and sister both had the “ir” issue and the thing that helped both of them was placing the tongue on the back roof of their mouth and say whatever word it is they struggled with

When I was elementary school I taught my friend to say her rs right by showing her where my tongue went. I even let her feel in my mouth and I grabbed her tongue and put it in the right spot. She got it from then on lol I was sick of ppl making fun of her

I hate to be the bad guy but you aren’t pronouncing correctly with your mouth. Kids not only listen to you they are reading lips, pronouncing is so important
