When a pub was a pub, great times and part if the community where are ages and generations gathered and chatted, taught us all how to grow up and be part of that community and not be alone. Sadly a lot of great pubs are gone and society is suffering for it, people now don’t have that gathering place to meet and talk, youngster don’t learn respect or discipline, it’s a shame.

Even in the 70’s in England when I started using Pubs they were similar to this happy albeit smoky memories some good some bad but you couldn’t beat a proper Pub, Full of Atmosphere and characters they were unlike a lot of the sterile sparse Pubs that are about now flogging food that you’d never heard of before and some Beer pasteurised so much it barely resembles beer.

Does anybody remember when they played the stadium with that tune albatross which was number one? The stadium was a small venue on South Sarah Road? If any of you were there at that concert yet? Let me know because I’d love to touch base. The only reason anybody went to the concert because albatross was a number one nobody realised they were going to go on to be such a phenomenal success.
