💙 REST EASY OFFICER SHANE SEIBR💙 Today, our hearts are absolutely broken as we mourn the heartbreaking loss of Philadelphia Police Officer Shane Seiber, a 40 year old husband, father of two beautiful young children, and 10 year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving his community. Early Saturday morning, Officer Seiber and his partner responded to a call about a man with a gun in West Philadelphia, never knowing that this call would turn into a nightmare. As the officers arrived, they were suddenly met with gunfire. Both officers were struck, with Officer Seiber being shot three times and his partner suffering 12 gunshot wounds. Both were rushed to the hospital, where medical teams fought to save their lives, but tragically, Officer Seiber succumbed to his injuries. His partner remains in stable condition. Take a moment to think about the family Officer Seiber left behind. A wife who has lost her husband, two young children who have lost their father, and loved ones who must now face a world that will never be the same. Those children are only 7 and 3 years old. They deserve countless more memories with their dad, more hugs, more laughter, and more moments watching him walk through the door at the end of his shift. Instead, their family is facing a loss that words can never fully explain. Behind that badge was a husband, a father, a friend, and a man whose life mattered far beyond his uniform. This is the reality our law enforcement officers face when they leave home to answer a call for service. They put on their uniforms, kiss their loved ones goodbye, and head out to protect people they may never even meet. They never know what the next call will bring or whether they will return home. Officer Seiber answered that call, and tragically, he never made it home. His sacrifice must never be reduced to another headline or another passing story. His name deserves to be remembered, his family deserves our prayers, and his fellow officers deserve our support as they grieve the loss of one of their own. 🙏 “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart.” Psalm 34:18 (KJV) 🙏 May God wrap His loving arms around Officer Seiber’s wife and children, give them strength through the darkest days ahead, and surround them with people who will help carry them through this unimaginable heartbreak. May God also watch over his injured partner as he continues to recover, and bring comfort to every member of the Philadelphia Police Department who is grieving today. Rest in eternal peace, Officer Shane Seiber. Thank you for 10 years of service, dedication, courage, and sacrifice. Your watch has ended, but your legacy will never die. Your children may be too young to understand the full weight of what happened today, but may they grow up knowing that their father was a hero who served his community with courage and honor. May your name forever be spoken with respect, may your family always feel the love of the community you served, and may you never be forgotten. End of Watch: October 10, 2026. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. 💙🙏 #pennsylvania #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #fyp #blue #philly
