With one and then two kids I feel like I was trying to be a mom while also trying to keep that part of myself before I was a mom (friends, working, hobbies). I never fully just committed to being a mom and devoted myself to it. Now with 3, I feel like I’ve finally surrendered to this stage of life. And I don’t mean that in a bad way, I mean it in the most beautiful way! I surrender. I don’t need to go to work anymore, I don’t need to go to dinner with friends, I don’t need to work out at 6am, I don’t need to have a perfectly clean house. I need to play legos for hours, cuddle on the couch, make all the snacks, give all the hugs and kisses, wipe all the tears, change all the diapers. And before I know it they will be grown.
