Baking soda & vinegar cancel each other out which is why if fizzes. Baking soda for alkaline properties to neutralize pesticides. Then separately do vinegar for the acidic properties to neutralize mold & bacteria growth.

Why You Should Not Mix ThemThey cancel each other out: Vinegar is an acid and baking soda is a base. When you combine them, they neutralize each other and turn into mostly salty water, which reduces their cleaning powe

baking soda and vinegar react to create salt and water. you're either cleaning with one or the other. So whichever one is left over after the reaction is the one that's going to be doing the cleaning. so please don't waste any of your materials by adding them together

I’m pretty sure you should use one or the other because they cancel each other out.

Dry the fruit first, add a paper towel to the bottom and it works well. Leave the fruit any kind of wet and it'll mold. Also...don't use baking soda and vinegar together. One or the other based on the fruit or vegetable you're cleaning.

Sigh. Baking soda and vinegar neutralize each other. This does nothing. Just use vinegar diluted in water, soak for 10-20 min. Rinse, dry on a clean towel.

These do work. I have been using them for a couple of months. The only problem is the smallest one isn’t very useful.
