I agree with being up front on non-negotiables and post my seven in my dating profile. They're pretty basic: single, biologically male, likes furry pets (I have cats), accepts my beliefs, lives locally, shares compatible values, interests, and lifestyle (doesn't need to be matchy matchy, but should align) and is open to becoming a committed long-term couple if it builds to that. I was also honest that I prefer talking to texting, am open to meeting for coffee, but believe in establishing a relationship before intimacy or invitations into my private life become options.
