I’d love to know how you think we could kindly talk to the in laws about ending the adult to adult presents when it’s so hard to choose for each other and is cost wise, a stress!

I save my work tips all year round and put them into a separate account. So my budget is whatever I can save ❤️

You should set up your Christmas savings in January…if you haven’t done it this year, do it starting next year. It’s a game changer 😊

Can anybody recommend any side hustles for making a bit of extra cash!? I’m on statutory maternity pay with a 4 month old babba and my husband isn’t medically able to work so it’s going to be tight this year 🥲🎄 I’ve been selling bits on Vinted but am otherwise stuck for ideas!

here in nz we have Christmas clubs which you pay money onto each week and then spend it through dec-jan. I use it for buying food and gift vouchers for Christmas.

I've set up a 500€ budget to have by Xmas, and will try and reach my goal by doing deliveries and selling stuff on Vinted or eBay, or even some metal and aluminium cans to a company buying that. I have only 32€ so far, but I just started 😊

This year we are more on a budget than normal so we are doing presents for the 3 children (littlest also has his 1st Birthday over Christmas too), my mum and my grandparents. Me and my husband won’t be exchanging gifts but have said we will take a book out of the library for each other, which won’t cost us anything but is a sweet idea of a gift on a budget (we also don’t have the space to store books).

I write a list of everyone I need to buy for and put sale items etc aside throughout the year. We’re in the process of buying a house, so this year I’m making onion chutney and getting my girls to make their own version of the M&S Christmas munch mix to gift to everyone this year! Nearly everything else I’ve bought was on sale, in charity shops, new with tags on Vinted etc.

There is an app I have used for about 5 years. It’s called gift list. I can see what I have spent every year and what I have bought. You can archive it every year. It has helped me keep it straight.
