Plain and simple! The equipment wasn’t loaded correctly. That boom should always be lowered to the deck. And it should have been moved forward more on the trailer.

Why didn’t they pull the dang excavator closer to the cab and extend the boom at further I guess that would make too much sense

It's the trucker fault you are responsible for the load when it is loaded on your he has the right to say no I am not taking that be are more careless these day simple measures tape know the height of your bed an height of freight when in doubt take the safest course 22 years of trucking had no accidents retired now biggest problem I see is no patience among all no one is humble an kind always rushing trucking is a art not a sport rushing to complete a task that could very well be your last to everyone in the world why you rushing to the finish line that just might be the final line take your time it will help prolong your time here on earth
