My first job at 14 was in a small hotel doing housekeeping and I actually really enjoyed it. Next job was Tesco, hated the till but had to be till trained. main job was clothing which was at the back of the store and next to doors to the warehouse which actually was good for me. I had a lot of problems in Tesco, hated being pulled from my department to another to help, had misunderstandings with customers and staff, etc. I then worked in out of school club and LOVED it. Loved the kids, felt i could be myself, use my creativity and there was a schedule and routine which was great. I have done other jobs in schools and nurseries which I loved too but any jobs like that really exhausted me and I did not do much out of work and had struggles with my mental health. I now do a job where I work alone and can make my own routine and my MH has been better and less burnout

my office is really nice but it's clear they don't like me (could even be subconsciously). I'm so tired of the social aspect of work. I don't drink or like to go out but they all do so I don't fit in. Same story, different workplace. However, it's still better than any customer facing role I've ever had

I found out i actually enjoy working in a factory as an autistic person but i got lucky with my coworkers, they're all chill. I get exactly what you mean with the mean coworkers at places like that, most of my coworkers are women and they explained things to me well and treat me like a human being. makes a huge difference

I worked as weekend bar staff in wether spoons. Worst experience of my life omg I was in such bad burnout in just week that I would cry just trying to get up. It left me unable to function at all. Quit before my propagation was over.

when i worked in spoons kitchen my manager thought itd be funny to lie to one of the waiters that i'd reported him for s harassment. They let him believe it for over a week and I was wondering why he was suddenly really off with me. I was not in on the "joke" whatsoever 🫠 such a fin weird place to work and i'm put off pub food for life 😭
