Ahhhh Fyolai mentioned!!
Where do I even start? I genuinely love Fyolai so much. Their dynamic is so unique and psychologically fascinating. I love Nikolai's twisted affection towards Fyodor, and I love the concept of him wanting to kill Fyodor since he loves him and thinks his emotions are cage. That concept is so well written and that's what makes them unique. I also love the contrast between their personalities. Nikolai is chaotic, theatrical clown, while Fyodor is calm, manipulative mastermind. They both fit each other in every way, aesthetically, personality-wise, their philosophies....EVERYTHING.
I love how they both understand each other in a way no one can. And the detail I love about them the most are how Nikolai calls Fyodor intimate nicknames like: "Dos-Kun" "Fedya" "Dostoy", and Fyodor doesn’t get mad or tells him to stop, he just accepts it. He accepts it because he knows this doesn't come from hidden malice or a way to provocate him, it comes from twisted affection. One od the things I like the most about their dynamic is how Nikolai openly admits he wants to murder Fyodor, and Fyodor accepts it with a smile.
I genuinely love Fyolai so much. Labeling them as any human labels like "One-sided" "Toxic"
or calling their dynamic "romance" "love" is wrong.
Their dynamic operates on a totally different psychological plane and is devoid of any societal norms. I wish more people understand that and how their dynamic is so complex, their codependency, and their fascinating psychological dynamic.
I could talk about Fyolai all day and every day without getting bored and I will mention it one more time I LOVE FYOLAI.
