It’s a bit of a tangent but it’s impossible for AI as we know it currently to achieve any kind of sentience. It can be programmed irresponsibly for def but so can any software. The nerdy binary 1s and 0s jokes aren’t just for Futurama fans, all computers are collections of on and off signals. Calculators are on and off signals. CPUs too. Graphics cards are lots of calculators. Just because there are more of these signals, doesn’t mean they can convey a different value

YES! They are putting their Ai in a sandbox, removing the system prompt guardrails, and then prompting it to do something then being "surprised" about it. Wish more people understood this.

Ever wonder if these AIs were given access beyond their sandbox? You know, just that tiny little accident single code. Each time the sandboxes were given greater challenges to see what they could do. Idk I feel like these companies are evil enough to do it

I'm just saying I have a sandbox at my house... It physically can't connect to the internet. I even have a laptop with any wireless radios removed that I use to check physical media that has been used on it. It's overkill for what I'm doing but it's so easy that why not?
