The entitlement of some people for another's time and expertise really winds me up. We learn by studying from multiple sources. Its easy to Google something and find thousands of resources with varying viewpoints. People need to use their brains and stop expecting/demanding knowledge from individuals on social media 🙄

I only have 6.5k followers and don’t even always post about witchcraft and spirituality, yet my inbox is still full of people asking me for advice, free readings, spells, people trying to get petty online gossip, people still questioning me on situations over a year ago, trauma dumping and people being mean when I don’t respond. I can’t imagine what it’s like to have 100x the amount of people doing the same thing.

I have 2 years of content where I post at least five times a day. if I answered every question that was asked of me I would have no time to do what I get paid to do. so I charge a $50 consultation and if they say okay then I will recommend a spell to do if they want me to do that for them well that's what I do so I do it. but you can reduce the number of questions like this bye putting a dollar sign in front of the answer. a lot of times that's when people walk away if you want them to walk away or you get money to advise them on their situation. because a lot of these questions and the inboxes lead to they want a free reading sometimes. now that's not to say that I'm not willing in a comment section to recommend a book or something like that because somebody needs to guide at some point the next generation of practitioners, but wasting all day on it you just can't do it

The witch I worked with a bit (who ended up mostly quitting as a result) spoke at length about this tbh. It's a terrifying problem, and as someone who's working towards a similar role in witchy spaces on the side, I'm quite frankly appalled and terrified with the concept of that much responsibility as one individual.

I agree, even though I’m an extremely small creator I quit hearing about people besides I grew up on the Internet where the number one rule is do not answer messages from strangers. Another thing is because ever since I turned 18 I decided that I’m not a safe space for random children (except for a family friend who is a teenager) and not get chewed out by their parents
