youre probably holding the broom to hard plus you are using it wrong. youre not supposed to dry the mop with that, youre supposed to just make it less wet, like how some people ring out a rag to get extra water off. so yeah you are doing it a bit hard because it is nor supposed to be dry and it ain't even dry anyways.
