Algeria is bleeding. Extreme heatwaves have triggered over 150 wildfires across northern regions such as Béjaia, Jijel, and Tizi Ouzou, destroying forests, tearing through homes, and claiming many lives. Emergency crews and volunteers are stretched thin and are risking all to battle the flames and save lives. Please keep Algeria, the families affected, and our brave firefighters and volunteers in your thoughts and prayers😔🇩🇿 #algeria #wildfire #algerie #dz #northafrica

This is fxcked up. At what point do Americans fill the streets? Not over a celebrity scandal. Not over a football game. Not because somebody on television told us which political team to hate this week. I mean over children being exploited, trafficked, abused, and treated like products while powerful institutions keep failing to protect them. How many investigations have to happen? How many survivors have to speak? How many warning signs have to be ignored? How many companies have to prioritize money, engagement, liability protection, or their public image before protecting a child becomes more important than protecting a brand? Because somewhere along the way, we became too comfortable hearing horrifying things. We read the headline. We say, “That’s disgusting.” We share the post. Then we go back to work. But these are CHILDREN. They don’t have lobbyists. They don’t have billion-dollar legal departments. They don’t have public-relations teams cleaning up the story. They have adults. They have us. And if the systems that are supposed to protect them repeatedly fail, then ordinary people have every right to demand better laws, stronger enforcement, corporate accountability, transparency, investigations, prosecutions where crimes are proven, and protections designed around children instead of profit. I’m not talking about violence. I’m talking about millions of peaceful people making themselves impossible to ignore. Marches. Boycotts. Calls. Emails. Voting. Investigative journalism. Supporting survivor organizations. Demanding hearings. Demanding transparency. Refusing to financially support companies that knowingly refuse to fix dangerous systems. We fill streets for championships. We fill arenas for concerts. We stand in line overnight for phones and shoes. So what would it take for us to fill every major city in America demanding that protecting children become one of the highest priorities in this country? Left. Right. Christian. Muslim. Jewish. Spiritual. Atheist. I don’t care. There should be some things humanity does not need to debate. Children are not merchandise. And protecting them should never depend on whether the story is politically convenient, profitable, or trending. Maybe the biggest weapon evil has isn’t secrecy. Maybe it’s convincing good people that somebody else will handle it. I don’t want to be one of those people. I want a generation that looks at exploitation and says: Not quietly. Not eventually. Not somebody else. Us.
