I remember when I was a kid there was a bible study for kids and the lecturer told a story about a mother being punished (can't remember if she was killed or stoned) just because she picked up a few firewood sticks on the rest day. I literally thought that was normal ( I was brainwashed as a kid) and now that i think about it, that was so petty.
